To change the pinout,
there is an easy process using any thin pin, like a paperclip or mig wire.
Just ensure your car is off before continuing!
Video:
Flip the cover open for the connector wires using your nails on both corners and roll it back onto it self.
To remove a pin, insert your paperclip into the smaller of the holes for that pin, inserting it about 5mm with a hard stop means the paperclip didn’t go thru the clip,
rotate the paperclip and push again until it slides the pin backwards, the paperclip will insert 10-15mm usually for this to be correct, you may even see the paperclip end come with the pin.
You should be able to see the pin dislodge,
Repeat this process for all pins you wish to move.
Now insert them in the correct orientation, remembering that the RED wire pin never moves from position 1.
They will click in place, gently tug on the wires to check if that pin is locked.
Once you are happy, close the green clasp back over and insert the plug into the switch.
If you get stuck or concerned, send me a message or call me, I’m happy to help.
